Another great Jazz artist joins the TEFI Lab family artists. We enthusiastically welcome Matteo Di Leonardo.
Guitarist born and grown musically in Teramo. He concluded his jazz studies at the Conservatory of Brussels, a city in which he has continued his musical activity since 2015. He has performed on several stages in Europe with various musical projects; in particular with his new album “Sketches”, to be published in March 2018 by the Belgian label “September”. He performed at Umbria Jazz 2017, as part of the Conad Jazz Contest, where he was among the 10 finalists. He won the prize for best compositions at the Zilina International Jazz Contest 2017 (Slovakia) with his “Matteo Di Leonardo 4tet” in which he also plays Pietro Pancella, also artist TEFI Lab. He is part of the important AIR project, promoted by SIAE and MIDJ, thanks to which he won a period of artistic residency within the Italian institute of culture of Nairobi.
Matteo uses our Cornucopia overdrive, whose tubes allows him to get out a soft and dynamic overdrive, using Gibson guitars (Les Paul and 175) and DV Mark amplifiers.
